Training for Corporate Security Professionals and Workplace Investigators
This one-day workshop focuses on introductory skills to build capacity in the use of evidence-based information gathering approaches and applying scientific credibility assessment principles. Many Corporate Security Investigators and Workplace Investigators do not have a full understanding of how memory works and how principles of memory are integral in the information gathering approaches used in their day to day investigations.

- Understanding components of memory, how memory works, how false memories are created
- Enhancing your ability to plan and execute an investigation
- Enhancing skills for rapport building and active listening
- Improving questioning techniques and note taking skills
- Learning conversation management tools to communicate with uncooperative individuals
- Understanding the psychology of lying
- Learning to avoid "red herrings" and other behaviours that can take your investigation "off-course"
- Becoming aware of false (but commonly believed) cues to deception
- Obtaining an understanding of scientific behavioural cues associated with deceit
- Learning Advanced Cognitive Interview skills for highly-consequential cases
